Match Reports:

Sunday 7th October kick off 3 pm.
Fermoy 0 - 3 Innishvilla

The biggest match this season so far. Before the game Villa were lying second in the table and a win could have taken us top.

A great 0-3 away win. The first goal came from an Alan O'Connor free kick which was fumbled by the keeper and James O'Regan snapped up the chance (remember that famous sniffer goal against Bandon a couple of seasons ago?). Gary Cronin got the second and then the goal of the season so far; Chris Carey volleyed a perfect daisy cutter from inside the centre circle which went right into the corner of the Fermoy net. Game Over. For his goal and an all round display of rugged defending Chris was the obvious recipient of man of the match. Other notable displays came from the ever dependable Shane Nolan in goal, Alan O'Connor in midfield and Ronan Crowley up front.

Monday September 17th

Villa 4 - Dunbar Celtic 2

A hat trick from Ronan Crowley and a flukey goal direct from a corner by Shane O'Sullivan saw us take our first points of the season.

September 9th:

Douglas Hall 1- Innishvilla 0

A narrow defeat away to the Hall. After playing matches in the morning our under 17 side were unlucky to be defeated by a solitary goal. Shortly after the start of the second half our defence was dragged to the near post and the Hall striker came in on a ball struck across the goal to beat Shane Nolan from close range. For the remainder of the game we took to the attack but couldn'y sneak an equaliser.

Team: Shane Nolan, Shane O'Sullivan (sub: James O'Regan), gerard Rice, Colm Leehane, Cian O'Connor, Jack walsh, Alan O'Connor, Gary Cronin, Alan Coleman, daniel O'Brien (sub: Adam Moursey) and Ronan Crowley

Man of the Match: Ronan Crowley,
