On a beautiful evening at Skevanish, Villa continued on
scoring from with a good win over Carrigaline. The first half was very evenly contested with Luke Counihan and Chris Harrington
for Villa and the Carrigaline winger getting a good goal to leave it 2-1 at halftime. Villa upped the temp after halftime
and ran a Carrigaline team, who were managed by two mothers (come on Innishvilla girls – take a lead) ragged in the
second half. Luke Counihan completed his hat trick with Chris Harrington & Jack Murphy getting two and Colm O’Connell
getting a beauty by finishing off a flowing movement that started with Robbie Sweetnam at full back. Tim Casey and Captain
Darragh Murphy were most impressive.

Innishvilla started life after promotion last year with a bang
on Saturday when they hit Kilreen for 7. An impressive passing display on this sunny morning wore Kilreen down and Tim Casey
had the distinction of scoring the first goal in this higher division. A Derek Canty thunderbolt made it 2 before Kilreen
were awarded a penalty which they duly dispatched. Tomas O’Brien was unstoppable in midfield to set up a beauty for
Innishvilla before halftime for Chris Harrington. Villa took over in the second half and further goals from Derek, Chris,
Luke Counihan and a peach from Jack Lyons rounded off a superb win. Shane Creedon was most impressive in defence.
